2. Hennessey Venom GT.

Its pace is courtesy of a 6.2L turbocharged LS9 twin V8 engine that is capable of putting out 1200 hp. The car is worth a crisp $950,000 and is manufactured in Texas. The only problem is that the company only produces 10 cars annually hence the car flies off the shelf at pace faster than its speed.
3. SSC Ultimate Aero TT.
Even though not produced anymore, the fuss that this car created with regards to speed and records, it is enough for it to be featured on this list. The SSC Ultimate Aero TT was tested in 2007 with a Guinness team present and took the spot for the fastest street legal car available and held that spot for 3 years until the Veyron came calling. It has a top speed of 256MPH.

It might be placed at the fourth position with a top speed f 254 MPH and an acceleration from 0-60 MPH in just 2.6 seconds but this is also the fastest convertible car the world has to date. It also has some features that go a long way to justify its $2.6 million price tag that includes the shape shifting function when at top speed to alter the down force and drag. 5. Saleen S& Twin Turbo.

Its engine has 789 HP and a 516lb-ft torque capability but it is supplemented by an electric motor that adds 161HP. The car is limited to just 499 copies each priced at $1.3 million.
10. Mclaren P1.
With a top speed of 217MPH powered by a 3.8L V8 twin turbo engine that puts out 903HP and accelerates to 60MPH in just 2.7 seconds, this speed monster closes the countdown. To be able to add this to your collection one has to part with at least $1.2 million.
